Which membership is right for you?

Board Membership

This application is for those seeking to join the GGAR and your broker in charge is already a member of our association. Agents must join where their broker in charge holds membership. Please check with your broker to confirm your choices for board membership.

MLS Membership

This application is for those who have already joined the GGAR board.

New Company MLS Membership

This application is for companies seeking to join the GGAR MLS. If you do not have an existing board membership you will also need to complete the Board Membership application. Please be sure to request your board send Leah.Duke@ggar.com a letter of good standing.

MLS Only Membership

MLS only membership requires that you be a member of the National Association of Realtors, a State board and a Local board. (i.e.: You are already a member of Spartanburg or Western Upstate Association) and the company you are licensed with is an existing member with GGAR MLS.

Secondary Board Membership

This application is for those seeking to join GGAR that already has an existing board membership.

As a member of your local Association, you also hold memberships at the state and national levels with the South Carolina Realtors® (SCR) and the National Association of Realtors® (NAR). This three-way agreement provides you with a wide variety of member benefits that support the work you do each day.

Through this agreement, GGAR distributes portions of your dues to the state and national organizations. NAR receives $201 of your dues investment, SCR receives $155 and $250 stays with GGAR to support the membership programs, services and benefits that we provide throughout the year. In addition, there is a $500 non-refundable application fee required for all new members.

REALTOR Membership Requirements

As a Realtor® member, you are required to complete two types of training every three years–Code of Ethics training and Fair Housing training. This requirement is only for Realtor® members and is in addition to your state licensing requirements and additional education required by GGAR. Realtors® are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of Realtors®. Training may be completed through NAR’s online courses or through another method, such as online or classroom courses via local/state associations.
